PRIMA Express Base & Top is a combined base and top coat with an incredibly fast soak-off time of 7 minutes. It can be applied thinly without running into the sidewalls, offers high adhesion for long durability and a high-gloss finish. A tacky inhibition layer remains after curing and must be wiped off with X8 Finishing Wipe & Cleanser - we recommend wearing gloves when removing it.
Express Base & Top can be used with PRIMA gel polish colours and also with NOVA gel polish colours.
HEMA-Free
PRIMA Express Base & Top is not hypoallergenic because it contains Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate (HPMA). However, it is HEMA-free and also free of acids that can cause onycholysis. We therefore do not recommend Express Base & Top for those with HPMA allergy or unknown ingredient allergies, and recommend using PRIMA Easy Base or PRIMA Base & Builder with PRIMA Shine Like A Diamond instead.

The items you need are:
- X7 Dehydrator & pH Equalizer
- X10 Air Dry Bonder (primer)
- PRIMA Express Base & Top
- PRIMA colour gel polish
- X8 Finishing Wipe & Cleanser
Method
- Prepare the nail as usual and buff to remove shine.
- Apply X7 to dehydrate.
- Apply X10 bonder (primer).
- Apply a thin layer of PRIMA Express Base & Top as a base. Cure 90 seconds in the SIRIUS-48W or SUN2C LED/UV lamp.
- Apply one layer of PRIMA colour. Push towards the Proximal Nail Fold (cuticle), then drag down to the free edge to ensure good coverage. Cure 30 seconds.
- Apply a second PRIMA colour coat if needed and cure 30 seconds.
- Apply a thin layer of PRIMA Express Base & Top as a top coat, wiping excess from the brush. Cure 90 seconds.
- A tacky inhibition layer remains after curing. Remove it with X8 Finishing Wipe & Cleanser. We recommend wearing gloves for this step, so that uncured product does not contact the skin.
